I don't actually own this product, but I do own the 44 Years of Fantastic Four DVD-ROM from the same company. I'd just like to clarify that the large watermark across each page is only supposed to show upon a few occasions: 1. Viewing the comics with something besides Adobe Reader. 2. Printing out the comics. 3. Viewing the comics with an old version of Adobe Reader. In this case, just update Adobe Reader. (This is based on the previous releases from this company, so I assume it's the same with this.)

If you don't mind using Adobe Reader, or reading comics on your computer, and you like Ultimate X-Men, I would recommend this. Even if they don't include the Ultimate War cross-over mentioned in a previous review.

Ok I gave it 4 stars just for the fact that you cant actually hold them in your hands and read them. Plus it is only 70 issues but for 9 bucks thats awesome. I think they could have put another series on the disc like the complete X force or Exiles or something just to fill it out more.Oh and one more thing you can save the disc to your hard drive so you can save it at work and read at lunch without having to bring the disc with you. Highly recomended if you love comics.

I have been a fan of the X-Men for many, many years. I decided to purchase this Ultimate X-Men Collection first, to see if I really liked it before purchasing larger collections on CD-ROM.

It is very convenient to have all of these comic books sitting on my laptop, allowing me to read them pretty much wherever I go. I only gave the collection 3 stars for two reasons: 1. The scan quality is poor, primarily because the colors are washed out, and 2. The PDF's can only be viewed in Acrobat Reader.

Because of the two issues listed above, I don't think I will be buying any of the other collections on CD-ROM. If you want to see for yourself, buy this collection FIRST, as it is one of the cheaper ones. But I would recommend purchasing the actual books rather than the CD-ROM version.

I absolutely love the Ultimate X-Men series, so when I saw this, I had to get it. It's complete up to May 2006 and even includes the annuals. They reprinted the entire book from cover to cover...even the ads!

The comics were scanned at their normal printed size, so they are viewed perfectly on a computer (although you may have to scroll down, depending on your monitor size), and look amazing.

Definately worth the price.

I love Marvel Comics and was curious about comics in digital format.I decided to try Ultimate X-Men first because it was the cheapest one available.I thought that if I didn't like it it wouldn't be that big of a deal to spend $10.I will say this...I will own every title that Marvel puts out on DVD-ROM (except Ghost Rider). It is awesome to have this many comics at your fingertips.Iron Man, Daredevil, and Thor will be out later in the year and I can't wait.

P.S.It does take some getting used to reading these on a computer screen but be patient it is worth it.

P.P.S.DC Comics please take note!!

At seventy issues for ten bucks, this collection is definitely a steal. The comics are PDF files, which isn't a problem, but I have reservations about the files. One, these are scans of comic books, not reproductions from original computer art. Not only will you see old expired ads, but also staples and comic book folds. Two, you will want to read these on a large monitor. I couldn't read the font on my notebook screen, and could read it at 125% on my larger monitor. Three, the "Marvel (TM)" is on every page, though I didn't have any problems with this. Four, this is a PDF file, and you cannot export JPG files, a pity since these pages would make *great* wallpaper. But, again, for less than the price of a graphic novel reprint, you have six years of the Ultimate XMen, starting from the first issue to today. With these caveats, recommended.

The first 69 Ultimate X-men comics are here with the Annual for a very affordable price. Unfortunately it is on your computer, so it doesn't have the same feel as comic book. The program runs on Adobe Reader and you can view the picture, zoom, rotate, etc. There's no installation all you need is a CD-rom drive on your computer. The scans are crisp and clear. My biggest complaint is that the CD does not include Ultimate War, a cross-over between The Ultimates and the X-men. There are major plot gaps without these comics, and I am not getting the entire Ultimate X-men story.

Before I start, I just want to say I've been watching the prices of these GIT discs jump up and down all over the place. 'Dramatic changes from week to week. 'Not sure why that is, but if you're interested in one of the GIT collections, be patient, keep your eye on the discs you want and snag one when the price drops again.

As far as this collection goes; REALLY NICE scans and what a great collection for any X-fan to have!

Spanning 10 years, the disc offers an easy-to-navigate menu and wonderful work by some of the best artists and writers in the business.

If you're in the place I was before purchasing this CD-ROM collection, you're asking yourself whether or not you're going to enjoy reading comics on your computer screen, in an Adobe Acrobat format. Well, if you're also like me in that you have a small laptop, I think the answer is "not really.' I certainly got my money's worth in time spent reading, as I couldn't breeze through the thing like I would in trades, but by issue 20-something the constant clicking and dragging started to grate on me, and I gave up. If you have a huge computer screen, or if the money aspect is that appealing (let's face it, that's a lot for $20), then go for it. For the Wednesday lovers like me, however, this format feels not ready for prime time.

I love X-men, but it's a bit of a struggle trying to read it on my computer or laptop. The constant scrolling, ugh. I prefer the book series or comics, if available.
